We're looking for a business administrator to work in a temporary seasonal role in our busy Bracknell office. This is an ideal post for someone with existing business administration skills, but equally would be good for someone coming fresh from a learning background to get experience of running a business. You'll need to have good english language, maths and communication skills, along with being competent at using word processing, spreadsheet and email applications.

Our company has four key parts: we fire professional firework displays, we sell fireworks to the public through a retail outlet and an online web store, and we sell professional fireworks to members of our trade.

In addition, you'll liaise with clients and prospective clients over the telephone, by email or face-to-face. This will include taking calls from customers or prospective clients, taking their bookings arranging and managing their orders. Additionally, general office administration tasks including dealing with telephone queries and operating the computer systems.

As well as dealing with general customer enquiries and developing sales, you'll also spend some of your time working in the shop. Work will include serving customers, advising them on purchases, preparing firework selections, taking cash or credit card payments, operating the shop computer systems  and importantly, preparing the shop and merchandising ready for November 2024.  You will help our retail manager supervise our Bracknell shop and any season temporary staff who come to work in the company shop during Guy Fawkes.

We want to stress that this job requires a wide range of skills,  from office skills through to good communication skills when dealing with customers, and also occasionally some manual handling. In return we offer good rates of pay, full annual leave entitlement and company staff discounts. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, it may be possible to agree part-time hours for the right candidate. Some weekend working may be necessary on the weekend either side of (and including) Guy Fawkes 5th November 2024.

This is a fixed term, full-time (or part-time) appointment until mid November 2024. There may be an opportunity for the right candidate to extend this position until the end of the year if available. We offer good rates of pay.
